Tamara Walker


Tamara is a visual artist born and raised in Miami,Fl with over 5+years of skills in fine arts. First taught the basics of drawing from her graphic designer mother, who instilled in her the importance of hard work and an eye for creativity. Furthering her education, she graduated with honors from Florida’s center for creativity New World School of Arts. While attending she achieved many honors including receiving 2013 National Scholastic Awards Portfolio Silver medal and being selected as a finalist for the National YoungArts Foundation. Continuing her art education she received a BFA in visual arts from Kansas City art Institute in 2017. As a black American artist who focuses on collage, drawing and painting, Tamara’s art practice explores the personal experiences navigating the natural world and our figurative embodiment of its consistent changing landscape. She has participated in many group exhibitions such as the 2017 Body + Place group exhibition at Pulse Gallery during Art Basel Week and as recently as 2024 contributing to a group show for Miami’s art fair Feria Clandestine’s Making Room III Edition.Tamara Walker
